Dear Dad,

I left home and travelled to the city. I have found Mom and have joined her self-help group. This new group is what I believe I was missing in my life, and they are doing great things to help the world, and I want to be a part of it.

If I do become a devout, I would not be able to speak to you ever again. So I will have to decide now what is best for me.

Don’t come looking for me, because I need to do this on my own. There was no future for me at home, so I will find it here. Whatever I decide, remember that I love you, and perhaps one day we will see each other again.
